日本時間の2日朝5時半頃、オアフ島を出航しました。近道の東側ではなく、オア
フの西側から北へアプローチ。その決定を聞いたときは心のなかでニンマリしま
した、よかったモロカイチャネル側じゃなくて。
We left Oahu at 5:30am JST yesterday. We took the west route which I
like, not the Molokai Channle side, shorter route.
最初メインとジブで快適に走ってましたが島のブランケットに入り一気に5ノッ
トまで落ちたので機走。そしてオアフの西の北端を抜けると一気に風が22ノット
まで上がったためメインダウン。現在もいい感じで北に向けて走ってますが波が
心地悪いです。
We were sailing with the main and the jib at first, then the wind went
down to 5kt when we approached the blanket of the island, so we started
run with the motor. After passing through the nothern end of the west
side of the island, wind went up to 22kt, we had to pull the main down.
Now we're sailing at good speed but the waves are not good.

夕日に染まるダイアモンドヘッドやワイキキのビーチを眺めながらたくさんの
ヨットに囲まれてのセーリングももちろん好きだけど、なんにも周りにない大海
原に私達だけっていうせーリングもやっぱ好きです。
Of coure I like to sail around the Diamond Head and Wikiki Beach in the
sunset with a lot of sailing boats, but I also like sailing around
nothing but grand ocean as well.
最初の食事、昨日の昼食はシーアスパラガスのオーシャンペストを使ったパスタ
でした。私の友達がファーマーズマーケットで売っているもので、最近のお気に
入りです。オアフに遊びに来た際はぜひ試してみてください。海の匂いがして
とってもおいしいです。
The first meal of this leg, yesterday's lunch, was pasta with the Sea
Asparagus ocean pesto which my friends sell at farmer's markets. My
recent favorite. You can smell the sea from it.
チャートテーブルの隣で香るパイナップルの匂いから早く開放されたいので今日
はここまで。
I really want to run away from the smell of a pineapple next to the
chart table asap.
