As we finished both major and minor repairs,
春に係留していたWaikiki Yacht Clubに移動しました。
we moved the boat to WYC where we stayed in spring.
いつもならば、お世話になった方々をゲストセーリングに招くのですが、今回はパルピットの修理やトロピカルストームの予報があったため実現できず。
We always took people who helped us during the Transpac to sailing, however we could not make it happen as we had to repair the pulpit and there was a storm forecast.
それでもなんとか感謝の気持ちを、ということでOpen Boat Partyを開催。
But we really wanted to thank people, so we had an "Open Boat Party".
下ごしらえはまゆこ、調理はみんなで、とばっちりのクルーワークで
It was a nice crew work as I precooked and other crew cooked.
素麺とお好み焼き、そして日本のビールでおもてなし。みんなとっても喜んでくれました。ちなみに、素麺を浮かべるのに使った水はレースの時のエマージェンシーウォーター。
We prepared somen (japanese angel hair cold noodel) and Okonomiyaki (Japanese pizza?). We are glad that everyone liked both.
自分たちにとっては普段当たり前のように乗っている船ですが（というかもはや乗っているというか暮らしていると言ったほうが正しいなぁ。。。）、
As I sail on Bengal7 all the time (actually I should say I live), I tend to think our boat is normal,
リフティングキールや油圧システム、カーボンでできた内装など、みんなにとって興味深いものなんだなぁと実感。船内ツアーだけでもこんなに喜んで貰えてよかったです。
however, I realized our equipment such as a lifting keel, hydraulic pressure, and carbon made cabin are very interesting to the people. I was happy to tour them around the boat.
Daveと座長。Daveは2年前、日本からマリナデルレイに到着した時に出迎えてくれました。
Dave and our delivery captain. Dave welcomed us at Marina del Rey in 2011 when we arrived from Japan.
そして夕方涼しくなってから買出し第1弾。
In the evening, we went shopping for foods during the delivery.
お菓子を真剣に選ぶ大人二人。お菓子、大切です。特にダウンウィンドでは。
Two adults are picking up snacks so seriously. Yes, snacks are so important especially when we sail in down winds.
今回はプラスアルファも含め、5人×30日の計算です。
We are loading foods and snacks for 5 people for 30 days.
カート6個分。 6 carts this time.
そして、前回ロングビーチへの回航の時もレシートが長くて写真載せましたが、

今回はさらに長かったです！お店の人も3人がかりでレジやってくれました。
It was longer this time. Three people at the store worked for our checkout.
月曜から火曜にかけてFossieというトロピカルストームがハワイ諸島沖にやってきます。これが通過したら31日（こちらの時間）に出発です。
A tropical storm called Fossie is coming to Hawaii from Monday to Tuesday. After the storm passes, we will leave back for Japan on 31st.
